Architect or Intern Architect |

Job Description |
The architectural division at Meadors Inc. in Charleston is looking for architect(s) to further enhance and define our practice as a Design/Build firm. We are anxious to find the best fit for our team and will consider a wide variety of skill sets.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Master’s degree in architecture with 1-2 years professional experience. We have very high standards, take projects from beginning to end, and place a high priority on architectural involvement during the construction.
Candidates must have a passion for working in the historic context of Charleston and a strong commitment to green building practices. Current residential and commercial LEED certified projects include new construction as well as historic restoration.
Our primary focus is custom residential work, and we are currently designing and constructing new homes on Wadmalaw and in downtown Charleston. We are also restoring a Charleston Single House and two significant commercial buildings in the historic district. In addition, we are often selected by our client base to design their new commercial spaces and buildings.
The multi-faceted nature of our business provides an opportunity to assume leadership roles and to work on all types of projects or to specialize in areas such as restoration, new construction or sustainable design.
Meadors is uniquely positioned to fully maximize the design and construction process through the interaction with our in-house cabinet makers, millwork shop, roofers, painters, and other professionals. See our millwork and crafts links for more information.
AutoCAD experience is required and the ability to use Revit preferred. We also run most Adobe graphic software and have design services division for the production of models. See our design services link for more information on our capabilities.
If you have questions, please call Becky Fenno at 843-723-8585. If interested, please send a resume to terry@meadorsinc.com.
