Recipient of AIA South Carolina’s highest design award for New Construction in 2026, the 11,000-square-foot library is conceived as both a civic anchor and a neighborhood node with a connection to the city center while responding to the scale and rhythm of adjacent residential streets. The Clinton Library is designed as a flexible, light-filled community living room, rooted in local history, shaped by public input, and poised to serve as a welcoming place for connection, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Learn how the Clinton community was involved with the planning process, strategic budgeting with the county, site preparation that involved relocating an existing structure, combined with the professional design insight on the very special architectural elements of the building.
