As Architects we are continually faced with the realities of natural disasters. From Helene’s impact last year, to the threat of wildfires, to heavy storms and beyond, Architects are in a unique position to engage in solutions that mitigate the effects of these disasters. Additionally, we are called upon to create more sustainable buildings to reduce energy costs and be resistant to environmental impacts. Join us for a virtual lunchtime CEU as we learn from Aaron Bowman and Josh Boucher with AIA SC’s Resilience Committee about initiatives taking place at both the State and National levels. We will also hear from Chris McCray about the Passive House certification program and case studies of recent Passive House examples.
