A course concerning the Heath, Safety and Welfare that must be considered when specifying and installing a Modular Masonry Fireplace. Discuss the advantages of Modular Masonry fireplaces.
Learning Objective 1:
Understanding Material components of Modular Masonry Fireplaces: Learn how Pumice is formed when gas-rich, frothy magma rapidly cools, creating air pockets resulting in light-weight material with thermal properties.
Learning Objective 2:
Identifying the advantages of Modular versus Site-built: Ease of Assembly Durable Construction Flexibility in Design Conforms to ICC ES Codes of construction.
Learning Objective 3:
Review Health and Safety Qualifications: Tested and listed with these entities: Radco, ICC Evaluation Service, National Fireplace Institute, PFS Venting United Laboratories: 127 & 103 NFPA211
Learning Objective 4:
Learn about the Construction Specifications of Modular Masonry Fireplaces: Clearances to combustibles- Wood and gas burning, as well as clearances for proper venting. Framing specifications to provide a safe installation.
Learning Objective 5:
Reviewing Design Options: Standard options, Custom modular systems (NFPA211 code), and brick designs.
