Task

The site is located at the gateway to the Greenville Heritage Historic District, a city protected neighborhood founded in the early 1900’s, characterized by a diverse architectural scene. The district is bounded to the south by Greenville's largest cultural district housing theaters, art galleries and museums. A design review approval was required prior to construction to ensure the solution complied with strict guidelines. The challenge presented by the clients was to design a home in a contemporary aesthetic that complied with design guidelines geared toward traditional design.
