Base Command Center – All about that Base

Task

As a semester long project, a team of us collaborated to design a groundbreaking office as part of Clemson’s partnership with the Department of Defense to assess wood usage in military structures. This particular project was collaborating with the US Coast Guard in their new Charleston Campus, located on the north banks of the Cooper river at an old naval yard. The project took a holistic design approach at the master planning of the campus and overall site design. Design solutions ranged from native landscaping solutions and embracing local ecologies, to flood permeable hardscape design.
