Center For Knowledge Elementary School

Task

The design of this 300-student magnet elementary school revolves around creating a “home-away-from-home” that promotes personalized learning, community engagement, and a strong sense of belonging. Spanning 36,000 square feet across two floors, the school fosters collaboration, transparency, and connection. The flexible layout supports a range of teaching methods, with visible teaching areas and abundant natural light. A key feature is the amphitheater, which capitalizes on the site’s natural grade to offer dynamic learning and performance spaces. Sustainable design practices, community input, and a focus on emotional well-being are at the heart of this innovative, student-centered design.
