Chapman Design Group, Inc.

Chapman Design Group, Inc. (CDG) is an Upstate South Carolina based architecture and interior design studio specializing in custom residential projects and small-scale private and public commercial projects. Founded in 1994 by Don Chapman, our design philosophy centers on creating architecture that reflects the unique needs, desires, and character of each client.

Our early success in residential design led to increasing demand for private commercial projects initiated by our own clients. Since our founding, CDG has completed over 500 residential and commercial projects across South Carolina and Georgia. Today, more than 50% of our clients return to us for additional projects, a testament to the strong relationships we build and the quality of our work.

In 2004, our founder established Icon Construction of South Carolina, LLC, which now constructs approximately 80% of CDG’s residential designs. Icon reached a major milestone this year with the start of its 200th custom residential construction project.

CDG’s portfolio continues to expand across various sectors, including retail, hospitality, office, restaurant, spiritual, adaptive reuse, historic preservation, and custom residential design. Many of our projects have been honored with local, state, and national recognition for design excellence.
