AIASC Hires New Lobbyist

AIA South Carolina is pleased to announce that we have engaged Riley Pope & Laney to provide strategic counsel and legislative representation for the chapter before the South Carolina General Assembly, the Governor’s office, state agencies and local governments.

Members of our new lobbying team include Ted Riley, an attorney with experience in regulatory and administrative law; Hobart Trotter, a government relations consultant with an emphasis in information technology and procurement services; and Tara Boone, who provides government relations research and legislative monitoring.

We look forward to having Ted and Hobart represent us in the lobby of the State House next year, and invite you to come meet them on January 11th at 5:00PM when we will host a Member Cocktail Reception at the AIASC Center for Architecture.  Ted and Hobart will give a brief presentation of Lobbying 101 and we’ll review the chapter’s 2017 Legislative Agenda.

Following the Member Cocktail Reception, we will walk over to the Palmetto Club on Sumter Street for the 2017 Design Construction Partnership Legislative Reception at 6:00PM. For details on the Legislative Reception, please see below.
